Pfizer Inc.'s profit more than doubled in the second quarter, reflecting growth in international pharmaceutical sales, the drug giant said Wednesday.
Profit increased to $2.8 billion, up 119 percent from $1.3 billion a year earlier, the company said.
Earnings were 55 cents a share, surpassing Thomson Financial analysts' predictions by 1 cent.
